Dr Allan Frankel is one of the few physicians in the US who truly understands Cannabis as a medicine. All treatments suggested have been well studied. Every patient seen by Dr Frankel is given a personally created Treatment Plan created with the patient’s specific issues defined. Plant medicine requires “tuning” of the dosing.
Dr Frankel works with his patients thru a messaging portal. The use of this portal allows quick and simple follow-up contact with Dr Frankel. Patients are not charged for these messages, as this is how Dr Frankel has learned what he has learned. Follow-up appointments in person or by phone/video are also available when needed.
CBD Benefits for Myasthenia Gravis
Here is an email from the patient with Myasthenia Gravis, who has done extremely well on combinations of CBD, THC, and THC-A. The THC-A was clearly a huge part of it, but CBD was also of great benefit. So, here is her email:
I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis in 2001 experiencing symptoms with drooping eyelids, double vision, slurred speech, restricted swallowing, and weak facial muscle movement. Since 2007 I was on 10-20 mg of Predinose every other day and have not been able to wean off Predinose below 10 mg every other day. The doctors (Neurologist) tried other ‘steroid sparing’ drugs but the body was never able to adapt because it affected my liver enzyme and white blood cell count.
Over the last 5 years, the MG got worse and in 2011, I had a severe MG crisis that led me to the ICU in the hospital. I was in ICU for 3 weeks with a feeding tube- I was unable to swallow, unable to speak, and had double vision. The doctors gave me high doses of Predinose and IVIg treatments while in the hospital and I ended up gaining over 70lbs and experiencing negative side effects from the Predinose use.
Since then, I’ve tried many different natural healing methods from Fish Oil, IV Vitamin therapy, Anti-oxidant supplements, Diet/Exercise, Natural remedies, and more – however, nothing was consistently improving my condition and I wasn’t able to wean off the Predinose below 10 mg every other day.
I moved to California in 2014 from Toronto Canada and I found Dr. Frankel through online research about cannabis oil helping various auto-immune diseases. After reading the successes of other auto-immune patients, I decided to try Cannabis Oil for myself. I have always been a very athletic, health conscience person, and I have never smoked or used Cannabis before. I was initially skeptical and trying the Cannabis oil was my last resort to finding a natural way to help my MG condition.
I started taking the CBD Cannabis spray and pills and within 2 days I saw improvement with all my MG symptoms. Within 3 weeks I able to wean down the Predinose from 10 mg to 5 mg every other day with no withdrawal symptoms and within 2 months I was able to complete wean off the Predinose.
Dr. Frankel worked with me to find the right dosage between CBD/THC and THCA and I found that my body responded best when I started taking 1:1 CBD: THC ratio and THC A. It’s been 3 months using the Cannabis oil and I’m consistently feeling good and getting stronger every day!
I am so grateful that I met Dr. Frankel and tried the Cannabis oil because it completely changed my life! I am able to maintain a good quality of life without taking any harmful steroid medications that cause negative side effects. The amazing thing about Cannabis Oil is that there are no side effects and it has also helped heal other parts of my body – like my eyes, skin, bones, PMS pain, hormones, and more.
I would recommend to anyone who has Myasthenia Gravis or any auto-immune disease to definitely work with Dr. Frankel to use Cannabis oil as an alternative treatment plan to any long-term use of harsh medication.
